Why I do house calls

A chair in a shop costs money every day, whether anyone's in it or not. That cost ends up in your haircut, and in the push to book people back to back. When I come to you, there's none of that. You pay for the work.

There's the other part too. Some of you have a kid asleep in the next room. Some of you find salons loud and bright and exhausting. Some of you just don't want to make small talk while a stranger waits their turn. At home it's your music and your lighting, and your dog can supervise.

It's more planning for me. I map out routes, I text before I head over, and I carry way too much gear. But the appointments are calmer, and I like them a lot.

I'm setting up a regular spot for people who'd rather come to me. It's in progress. Until it opens, book a house call. And once it does, house calls are staying.
